How Do I Connect My Smartphone to Uconnect®?

Maybe your vehicle will connect with your smartphone and you don’t even know it! Whatever the case, take a look at this simple, step-by-step guide to connecting your smartphone with your vehicle.

You may have noticed most Jeep and Chrysler vehicles come standard with a Uconnect® touchscreen system. With Uconnect®, you’ll be able to sync your phone and your vehicle together. You’ll be able to access all of your smartphone’s features and avoid any distractions while driving. First thing is first, though. You have to connect to your Uconnect® system using Bluetooth®.
How to Connect Android to Uconnect®
Step 1: From the home screen, select SETTINGS
Step 2: Select BLUETOOTH®
Step 3: Make sure Bluetooth® is ON. Your Android phone will seek out Bluetooth devices while it is discoverable
Step 4: While your Android phone is searching for Bluetooth devices, proceed to your Uconnect touchscreen in your vehicle and press the PHONE icon
Step 5: Select SETTINGS
Step 6: Select ADD DEVICE to add your Android phone
Step 7: Pair your Android phone; you will get a PIN NUMBER
Step 8: Verify PINs, and select ACCEPT
Step 9: A confirmation will appear that your Android phone has been paired and connected; select OK
Step 10: After selecting OK, your touchscreen will display the message: PHONE READY. Your Android phone is now connected to your Uconnect® system.
How to Connect Apple to Uconnect®
Step 1: From the home screen, select SETTINGS
Step 2: Select BLUETOOTH®
Step 3: Make sure Bluetooth® is ON. Your iPhone® will seek out Bluetooth® devices while it is discoverable
Step 4: While your iPhone® is searching for Bluetooth devices, proceed to your Uconnect touchscreen in your vehicle and press the PHONE icon
Step 5: Select SETTINGS
Step 6: Select ADD DEVICE to add your iPhone®
Step 7: Pair your iPhone®; you will get a PIN NUMBER
Step 8: Verify PINs, and select ACCEPT
Step 9: On your iPhone®, you can now select UCONNECT® in Bluetooth Settings
Step 10: A confirmation will appear that your iPhone® has been paired and connected; select OK
Step 11: Once paired, Uconnect® will attempt to connect to your iPhone®.
Step 12: On your iPhone®, allow Uconnect® to access your messages and contacts by turning on SHOW NOTIFICATIONS and SYNC CONTACTS
